Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival 2022

The recent Bay of Plenty Garden & Art festival celebrated the beauty and diversity of the region’s gardens and the creativity of talented artists.

We were lucky enough to explore a few of the gorgeous and inspiring gardens on show.

This year, the event boasted 60 unique gardens from all over the Bay of Plenty region for attendees to visit over 4 days. We were blown away with the incredible spaces with layers of plants, colours, beautiful blooms and relaxing havens to retreat to, not to mention the abundance and variety of veges and fruit.

To help get their gardens looking in the best possible shape before the event, each gardener was gifted a bottle of our sustainably sourced Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic.

Here's a small taste of some of the garden inspiration on show.

Relaxing havens

Throughout the festival gardens featured spaces to relax and wind down among beautiful plantings. As soon as you stepped in there was a sense of calm and relaxation created by the carefully thought out surroundings, with plenty of room to sit back and take in nature around.

Creative container gardens

We saw plenty of eye-catching and fun ways to plant in pots. The creative containers showcased vibrant beautiful blooms, edibles and striking shrubs and added interest to spots around the home and gardens.

Garden Art

While gardening is often considered an art itself, many spaces added interest with works of art nestled amongst nature.

Beautiful blooms

Vibrant floral displays were found throughout the gardens. From gardens bursting with roses of every type and colour to the more classic, muted pallets of hydrangea and alstromeria, flowers brought pure joy to a wander in the garden.

Layers of plants and colours

A popular colour combination was green, silver and purple with layers of flowers, shrubs and topiary closely planted together to create a striking display.

An abundance of Fruit & Vege

Discretely tucked away in a sunny spot or made into a fantastic feature, there was a huge range and abundance of fruit and vege included in the gardens.
