Hi, I have successfully grown small plants from the seeds of my Apollo feijoa tree and wonder if the tree-lings will produce fruit as per the mother tree. Thanks. 

Hi Irene, your seedlings won’t be true to type, they will fruit in 6-7 years but will not be Apollo. Named varieties are grafted on to rootstock and so they are true to type. Grafted trees fruit sooner than seedling grown plants, in 3-4 years.
