Q.
Hi, my blueberries are not thriving and I am not sure why. I added compost prior to planting more than two years ago. The plants have only grown slightly and only one fruited and produced very few berries. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks, Sue.

Blueberries prefer a moist, free draining, acidic soil, similar to what azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias like. They are also best planted in a sheltered, well drained position in full sun. Compost is often higher in nitrogen.
If planted in garden beds feed in spring and summer with Tui Citrus Food or Tui Acid Food and give your plants regular applications of Tui Organic Seaweed Plant Tonic.
