Hi Tui, I've recently bought a lemon and lime tree (smaller variety but not dwarf). And I've planted them near my house about 2 feet from. But a neighbour told me I've planted them too close to the house. Is this true? Do they really have deep enough roots that they may cause subsidence? Thanks!

Hi Belinda, yes, it is too close to the house. It is fine to move them now. Lemons and limes can have an eventual diameter of 2 metres or more, therefore you want the tree at least 1 metre away from the house, or ideally further so you can harvest and prune the plant as required. More room is always better as opposed to less.
